Claude Teasley

Anderson, SC – Claude Teasley, 92, of 503 Casey Street, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at his home.

Born in Starr, SC, he was the son of the late Fred and Lizzie Mae Connor Teasley and widower of Pearlie Gambrell Teasley.  Mr. Teasley was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and member of Missionary Circle #4.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and eight siblings, Esther R. Hill, Mable Poole, Luella Mangle, Willie Mae Brown, Osbey Connor, Fred Jr., Essay and Louvell Teasley.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, son, Jimmy Teasley (Johnnie), Anderson, SC; nephew raised in the home, Jerry Webb (Peggy), Aiken, SC; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a devoted niece, Linda Chancellor, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services are 2 pm Sunday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The body is at the funeral home and will be on view Saturday beginning at 12 noon and will be placed in the church Sunday at 1 pm.
