Adolph Young, 76, husband of Sadie Robinson Young, died suddenly Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on December 4, 1940 in Williamston, SC, he was the son of John and Durother Elrod Young. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Edward Young and Charles Wilson and sister Jewell Banks.

Mr.Young was a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and a member of the Brotherhood Ministry.  He retired in 2005  from Vernon Mills after working for 36 years and he was actively employed at the Anderson City Recreation Department where he had worked part-time for 43 years.

Adolph will be sorrowfully missed by his wife and best friend, Sadie Robinson Young, children, grandchildren, and siblings. He is survived by his children, Adrienne Y. Weston of Anderson, SC and Douglas Adolph Young (Charlotte) of Fleming Island, FL; three grandchildren, Jordan Reed Weston, League City,TX;  Lauren Noelle, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Christian Lingard Young, Fleming Island, FL; brother, Clarence Bruce Young Sr. (Bellena), Anderson, SC; three sisters, Mildred Arnold of Williamston, SC, Mary Lou Young and Mary Evelyn Baker both of Detroit, MI.

Family is at the home, 101 Burr Drive, Belton, SC.
