Albert Lanston "Hero" Thompson, 64, departed his life on January 9, 2021.

Albert "Hero", was born on November 28, 1956, to the late Marion and Mamie Dukes Thompson.

Albert "Hero" was a retired residential home manager for over 20 plus years.  Albert was a big role model to his nieces and nephews and all the babies after them.  He was an uncle and father figure to them all.

Albert "Hero" leaves to cherish memories to a devoted friend, David McIntosh; his last oldest auntie, Earlene T. Cowans; three brothers, Benjamin, Jessie, and Marion Thompson, Jr.; two sisters, Katie Edwards and Laura Jones.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, and nephews, and a number of special close friends.

Albert "Hero" was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Luther Thompson, and two sisters, Clara and JoAnn Thompson.

Viewing for the public will start Friday 4-7 pm here at D.B. Walker Funeral Services and his funeral will be on Saturday at 2 pm at D.B. Walker Funeral Services in the chapel.
