ALMA GRACE GRAY

Alma Grace Gray, 75 of 2009 Richmond Ave, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Hospice of the Upstate. Born in Elberton, Ga, she was the daughter of Otis Morrison and Willie Curry Morrison and was raised in the home of Rich and Sweet Jones of Iva, SC.

Sister Grace attended New Deal High School, class of 1964,  was a member of Mountain View CME Church and was affiliated with the Generostee Baptist Church.  She was employed as a cook in various facilities.  One of her strongest characteristics was a nurturer to family, friends and acquaintances and could be counted on to pull the family together.

Sister Grace leaves to cherish fond memories, daughter, Patricia Renea Turman of Anderson, SC; four sons, Wallace Morrison, of the home, Carl Morrison, Michael Morrison, and Tyrone Gray (Adrina), all of Anderson SC;  Godson, Ricus Bennett of Easley, SC; brother, Arthur Morrison, of Anderson, SC; sister, Mary Willie Freeman of Iva, SC and fourteen grandchildren.

Sister Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Gray, two infant children, one daughter, Martha Willingham, sisters, Margie Sadler, Rosa Lee Hunter and Lois Bell; brothers, Thomas A. Morrison, Horace Morrison, Luther Jones, Bill Jones and J. E. Jones.

Sister Grace will be on view at the funeral home on Monday from 4 pm until 8 pm.  Everyone is encouraged to wear their face masks and practice social distancing.
