Bessie Berry, 88 years old, of 120 K. C. Berry Road, Starr, SC, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Born on February 12, 1938, she was the daughter of Cadious “Buster” Scott and Azelee Williams Scott.

Bessie was a member of Generostee Baptist Church.

Bessie leaves to cherish fond memories, two sons, Thomas C. Berry and Randall (Felicia) Berry, both of Starr, SC; two daughters, Jannie Berry of Anderson, SC, and Gloria Berry of the home; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, K. C. Berry; one son, Kelvin Clark Berry; her parents, Cadious and Azelee Scott, and one sister, Jennie Ruth Little.

Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Marvin R. Mattison Memorial Chapel at D. B. Walker Funeral Services, with burial to follow in the Generostee Baptist Church Cemetery.

There will be no public viewing.

The family is at home and will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the home of Thomas C. Berry, 110 K. C. Berry Road, Starr, SC.
