Ms. Bessie Mae Chamblee, 89, of 122 Mariposa Circle, Anderson, SC, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of John Chamblee and Willie Mae Pickens Chamblee.  Ms. Chamblee had worked at Richard Campbell Nursing Home as a CNA and was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Ms. Chamblee was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers, Lonnie, John Paul, Floyd Stewart, Ulysees, Warren Jr., R.L., T.C. and A. C. (twins) and Rufus Chamblee; three sisters, Johnnie Mae Fair, Annie Ruth Clinkscales and Betty Jo Campbell.

Ms. Chamblee leaves to cherish loving memories, one brother, Elder Bobby Chamblee; two sisters, Ruby Nell Johnson and Rebecca Richardson; two special nieces, Sheila and Lisa Campbell, all of Anderson, SC; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral service is 1 pm Saturday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church and the body will be placed in the church at 12 noon.  Public viewing is Friday from 2-6 pm at D. B. Walker Funeral Services.

The family is at the home, 122 Mariposa Circle, Anderson, SC.
