Celebration of life for Ceciley Renette Johnson -

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful and vibrant life of Cece, who transitioned peacefully on April 10, 2026, in Anderson, SC surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Richmond to her parents, Louvenia Johnson and Donald Earl Johnson Sr., Cece was the sixth of seven children. From the very beginning, she carried a light that could not be dimmed, a spirit full of personality, love, and undeniable presence.

Affectionately known as "Cece," "Black," or "Chocolate," she embraced every name with the same bold confidence that defined her life. She was colorful in every sense of the word, full of style, energy, and a personality that filled every room she entered. Cece lived unapologetically on her own terms.

Her greatest pride and deepest joy were her children Victor, Vance, and Vermel, whom she loved fiercely and wholeheartedly. She thought the world of them, and that love extended beautifully to her grandchildren, Jordan, Kobe, and Vic'kye, who brought her endless joy and laughter. She was also overjoyed to welcome a newly born great-granddaughter into the family, a blessing she celebrated with excitement and love, even before meeting her.

Cece was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Earl Johnson Jr. She leaves behind a strong and loving family, including her siblings Sharifah, Delbert, Linda, Rodrick, and Tammy, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of love, laughter, and support.

She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were touched by her warmth, her honesty, and her unforgettable spirit. Cece loved deeply, laughed loudly, and lived full, and that is exactly how she will be remembered.

Her life was not just lived, it was experienced, expressed, and shared. And while she will be deeply missed, her energy, her style, and her love will continue to live on through everyone who knows her.

She was deeply loved, and she will be profoundly missed.

Today, we don't just mourn her, we celebrate her...Rest well.
