Donnie Mae McDowell, 92, of 104 McDowell Street, Pendelton, SC, died Monday, July 3, 2017, at her home.  Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sim and Daisy Anderson Adger.

She was a graduate of Reed Street High School, and Claflin College. She was a retired school teacher,  a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Clemson, SC where she served on the WMU.  She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by four siblings Elwood Adger, Lurene Perry, Sylvene Latimer and Mary Bentley.

She is survived by a daughter, Angelia R. (Hogan) Robinson, Pendleton, SC; one son, Andrew Donel (Christal) McDowell, Marietta, GA; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service 2 pm Sunday  at New Hope Baptist Church, and the body will be placed in the church at 1 pm.

The family is at the home.
