Duane L. Powell, 68, transitioned from earth to glory on August 7, 2020, at 7:58 am, at the Rainey Hospice House, Anderson South Carolina.

Duane Lordrick Powell Sr. was born to the late Walter Dudley and Ozetta Howell on June 28, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan. He was educated in the Detroit Public Schools and served in the United States Army in 1979.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents O.D and Noetta Powell, a loving aunt Ruth Robinson Walker, in which he reared in her home and a loving uncle and aunt from Iva, South Carolina R.E and Jetheree Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories to one son Duane L. Powell Jr. of Detroit Michigan and his cousin (caregiver) Mrs. Faye Williams (Joe) of Anderson, South Carolina.

Funeral Services will be 3 pm Friday in the chapel of D.B. Walker Funeral Services and viewing will be from 9 am up until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Wilson Creek First Baptist Church Cemetery (old) in Iva, Sc.

The family is at the home of his cousins,  Mr. & Mrs. Joe (Faye) Williams, 100 Leon Drive, Anderson,  SC.
