Elizabeth Ruth Beatty, 59, passed away at her home at 403 Sirrine Street, Honea Path, SC. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Whitaker & Jewell Ann Taylor Whitaker.

Elizabeth (Grandmama) was truly the brightest light on this earth. She was bold and feisty, she was kind and gentle, she was always gracious and humble, she was the embodiment of faith, and it was so inspiring and admirable. She loved the color green, plants, frogs, butterflies, hummingbirds, and the beauty of nature overall. She loved dancing, singing worship songs, and being silly but most of all she loved God and the amazing family she created. She brought love and laughter to every room she was in; she made every moment of life so magical with her. She was one of a kind, she was special, and she was so very beautiful. She made an impact on every person she met and through them her legacy will live on forever.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husbands, John “Johnny” Franklin Beatty Jr. and Charles “Chuck” William Pitts; son, John Lee (Little John) Whitaker; parents, Robert and Jewell Whitaker, sister Nancy Ann Whitaker Getsinger; three brothers, James Robert, John Paul, & Dennis Ray Whitaker; and son-n-law, John Michael Patterson.

Elizabeth leaves behind to cherish fond memories, two sons, Randy Lamar Beatty (Kayla) & Joshua Keith Beatty (Erika Harris), all of Belton, SC; daughter, Kelly Elise Beatty (Aaron Edwards) of Honea Path, SC; six grandchildren, Kinsleigh Elise Patterson, Eli Peyton-Micha Patterson, Keelan Malachi Patterson, Keira Addaley Beatty (Addie), Benton Charles Beatty & Brendon John Beatty; and two bonus grandchildren, Sarah Huey & Dylan Phillips.
