Anderson, SC – Eloise Wansley, 97, widow of Jake T. Wansley, died Friday, August 31, 2018, at Linley Health & Rehab.  Born in Anderson, SC she was the daughter of  Seymore and Rosa Brown Woods.

Eloise was a member of the United House of Prayer for all People.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sons, Joe, Aaron and J.P. Wansley; six brothers, Ed, Ollie, Robert, Claude, Babe and Johnny Woods; four sisters, Eva Harris, Corrine Sherman, Mary Sue McAlister and Sinnie Woods and two grandchildren.

Eloise leaves to cherish loving memories three daughters, Mary Leverette (Levi), Belton, SC; Inez McDowell, Anderson, SC and Maryann Underwood (James), Belton, SC; two sons, Thomas Wansley (Lola), Sandy Springs, SC and J.C. Wansley, of the home; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family is at the home, 312 Cleveland Avenue, Anderson, SC.

Funeral services are 1 pm Tuesday at the United House of Prayer for All People and the body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Burial in Westveiw Cemetery.
