Ernest Furman Lewis, Jr., 63, of Honea Path, SC, son of Ruby Lee Lewis and the late Ernest Furman Lewis, Sr., passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born in Anderson County, Ernest was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a graduate of Belton-Honea Path School.

Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lewis, Sr., and three sisters, Cathey, Melinda, and Angela Lewis.

Ernest leaves to cherish loving memories, mother, Ruby Lee Lewis, Honea Path, SC; two brothers, Willie (Doris) Lewis, Garner, NC and Andre Lewis, Mauldin, SC; three sisters, Ruby (Thomas) Goodjoine, Simpsonville, SC; Gloria (Larry) Jackson, Mauldin, SC and Lucille Lewis, Greenville, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service is 2 pm Sunday at Liberty Baptist Church, and the body will be placed in the church at 1 pm; burial to follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing is Saturday from 3 -7 pm in the Ollie Stewart Memorial Chapel, D. B. Walker Funeral Services, 19 Rouse Street, Honea Path, SC.
