George Alex Howard, Sr., 70, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House. George, the son of John and Dorothy McDowell Howard, was born in Anderson, SC on November 13, 1953.  He was a concrete finisher.

George was preceded in death by his son, Geovoni Howard, parents, and five siblings, Alma Jean Harris, Maria Hunter, Judy Faye Howard, Michael Howard and Jerry Howard.

George leaves to cherish fond memories, wife, Malva Darline Paul Howard; sons, Dimetries Howard and George Howard (Regina), both of Anderson, SC; John Paul Howard, Greenville, SC; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Johnnie Little, Anderson, SC, Jennifer Johnson, and Genese Copeland (Joe), both of Belton, SC; brothers, Archie Dale Howard, Belton, SC and John Howard, Pendleton, SC.

Funeral services are 12 noon Saturday at Wilson Calvary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery.  Public viewing will be Friday from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
