Harold E. Rice, 92, of 217 Melody Trail, Anderson, SC, died on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Clarence Otis and Marie W. Rice.

Harold was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, a graduate of Reed Street High School and he attended SC Trade School, Denmark, SC.  Harold was a US Army Veteran and served during the Korean War.  He was an HVAC Instructor at Tri-County Technical School and was retired from Owens-Corning.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Pauline Gambrell Rice, three children, Harold Leon Rice, William Patrick Rice and Angela Rice; two sisters, Frances Starks and Gladys Simmons.

Harold leaves to cherish fond memories, one son, James A. Rice, Bowie, Maryland, three grandchildren, Victor Rice, Sydney Rice and Myles Rice; one sister, Gladdell Martin, Anderson, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services are 1:30 pm Thursday at MJ "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery and viewing is Wednesday at D. B. Walker Funeral Services from 3 -7 pm.

The family is at their respective homes.
