JL Paul, 86,  of 224 Greenmeadow Circle, Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at AnMed Health Medical Center.  Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of Johnny Lee Paul and Alberta Brownlee Paul.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Ida Ruth Paul, and son, Donell Paul.

Mr. Paul leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Dinnia Bowman Paul, of the home; three sons, Carnell (Arcelia) Paul, Greenville, SC; Joe Louis (Brenda) Paul, Anderson, SC and Terry Tyrone Paul, Duncan, SC; two daughters, Linda D. Hanks, Atlanta, GA; Jackie (Nate) Dennis, Anderson, SC; four brothers,  Jerry (Sarah) Paul, Sammie Paul and James Paul, all of Anderson, SC; David Paul, of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Esther (Roy) Campbell, Anderson, SC; Jeanette (Johnny) Scotland, Anderson, SC and Lorean Paul, Philadelphia, SC; nine grandchildren, Adrian Paul, reared in the home; Shayla and Brandon Paul, Jarrad and Jaeda Maroney, Marshana Paul, Josh and Lewis Thompson, and Cadricus Maxwell; nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

The funeral service is 11 a.m. on Monday in the Marvin R. Mattison Memorial Chapel, D. B. Walker Funeral Services, and burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
