James Leroy Webb "Cool Cat"

Anderson, SC – James Webb, 76, died Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Condor Health.

Born in Anderson, SC he was the son of Annie Mae Webb Chamblee. James was a hard worker who worked at Electrolux for many years. He was a people person who loved to joke with other people and was a composer of songs about himself.  He was an avid Washington Redskin fan.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Norris Webb, mother, Annie Mae Chamblee, daughter, Venus Mattress, four sisters, Betty Ruth Brawner, Catherine Wansley, Johnnie Mae Webb and Bobby Jean Webb.

James leaves to cherish fond memories one daughter, Pamela Norris; four grandchildren, Katrina Norris, Darius Richey, Karneshia "Nikki" Norris and Contisha Wardlaw, all of Anderson, SC;  12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence, Johnny J. and Joe Henry Webb; sister, Juanita Suber, all of Anderson, SC; stepdaughters, Carolyn and Annette Norris; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 2 pm Wednesday in the Marvin R. Mattison Memorial Chapel, D. B. Walker Funeral Services with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery.  Public viewing is Tuesday from 2-6 pm.

The family is at the home, 415 E. Franklin Street, 400, Building C, Anderson, SC.
