SERVICES WILL NOW BE HELD IN THE CHAPEL OF D.B. WALKER FUNERAL SERVICES.  DUE TO COVID-19  ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED TO 50 PERSONS.  WE ASK THAT FRIENDS AND FAMILY GOVERN THEMSELVES ACCORDINGLY .

Jimmie Lou Johnson

Anderson, SC - Jimmie Lou Johnson, 87, widow of Jhue Johnson, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Linley Park Health and Rehab.  Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Lonia Watts Leverette.

Jimmie Lou was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she served faithfully as an usher until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister, Madge Thompson.

Jimmie Lou leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters, Jo Eva Smith and Wilhelmina Johnson, both of Anderson, SC; three sons, Nathaniel Leverette (Jennie), and Barry Johnson, both of Anderson, SC; Ralph Johnson, Columbia, SC; one sister, Juanita Leverette, Anderson, SC; one brother, Levi Leverette (Mary), Belton, SC; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be 11 am Thursday in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with viewing Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm  at D. B. Walker Funeral Services.

Family members are at their respective homes.
