Joe Morris Singleton, 68, passed on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center.  Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Clifton and Selma Mauldin Singleton.  He was 1967 graduate of Westside High School, a fireman with the City of Anderson Fire Department, where he was the first black to serve.   Joe was a nursing assistant with Anderson Memorial Hospital and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Moyshi Singleton, sister, Lottie Singleton and three grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, daughters, Kayla and Stacy Singleton, both of Anderson, SC; sons, Sammy Singleton, Atlanta, GA and Brandon Christopher Thompson, Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren

The family will be at the home of his daughter Kayla A. Singleton, 2418 March Banks Avenue, Tanglewood Apartments, 29A, Anderson, SC

Extended family members will be at 102 Druid Hill, Anderson, SC.
