Mr. Joe Bernard Wansley was born October 13, 1971, in Anderson, SC and departed this life on September 16, 2021, in Anderson, SC.  He was the son of the late Joe Wansley and Catherine Webb Wansley. He was married to Carla Carson Wansley for 18 years.

Joe was a 1989 graduate of Westside High School and was formerly employed with Michelin Corporation and Tru Green Lawn Company.  During his younger years he attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and most recently he attended the Generostee Baptist Church.  He loved sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Joe leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife, Aunts, Mary Ann (Anthony) Underwood, Sylvene (Levi) Leverette, Inez McDowell,  Juanita Suber and Bobbie Jean Webb;  Uncles, J. C. Wansley, Thomas (Lola) Wansley , Lawrence Webb, James Webb, Johnny J Webb  and Joe Henry (Carrie)Webb; He is also survived by  mother-in-law, Betty Carson, brother and sister-in-law, Milt and Jackie Blakley; nieces, Sterlin  (Michael) Jones; Briana (Kennedy) Eubanks; nephew, Jamal Blakley and a host of family and friends.

Graveside services are 1 pm Tuesday, at New Silverbrook Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Williams, officiating.  Public viewing will be Monday from 3 -7 pm at the funeral home.
