John H. Henderson

Anderson, SC - John H. Henderson, 86, of 1104 Bolt Drive, entered into his ETERNAL rest at 2:22 am on Monday, November 4, 2019, at the Rainey Hospice House.

John, son of Alex and Mattie B. Henderson was born in Alabama. He left Alabama early in life and moved to Evanston, Illinois; there he met his wife, Lorene Henderson. While in Illinois he drove taxi where he developed a reliable customer base that evolved into his own successful limousine service.  Upon retirement in 1989, he and his wife moved to Anderson, SC

John Henderson was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene, parents, Alex and Mattie, siblings, Mary, Alex, Jean, James, Elizabeth, Coy and Christine.

Cherished memories of John will forever by remembered by his long-term FAITH PARTNER, Gloria Cox Johnson.of the home; her son, Danni Lee, Anderson,SC; nieces and nephews, David (Sharon), Mark Mims, Gwen Moore, James, Lesley, Jody, Tami and Christi Moore; Tommy and Willie Ray; Alex II. Alex III, Bobby and Michael Henderson; LaTonya Lloyd and Cornelius Whitehurst; he is also survived by a devoted God-son, Milford Adger, Anderson, SC and a host of great nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services are 3 pm Sunday in the Marvin Mattison Memorial Chapel, D. B. Walker Funeral Home and viewing will be Saturday from 12 noon until 8 pm.

The family is at the home.
