Reverend William H. Cox, 79, of 106 Kingshill Drive, Anderson, SC, son of Charlie and Maude Mattison Cox, gained his wings Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Reverend Cox was pastor of Union Baptist Church in Greenville, SC and a member of Wilson Calvary Baptist Church.

Reverend Cox was preceded in death by his first wife Della Crosby Cox, parents, siblings, Charles Cox, Reverend Wendell Cox, Frank Cox and Estella Cox Funnye'.

Reverend Cox leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Gloria Walker Cox; daughter, Tonya Cox Dial and two sons Dameon (Shantell) Cox and Dyon B. (Ambrose) Vessels; seven  grandchildren, Kayla Paul, Darius Dial, Tyra Morgan, Carter Cox, Daja Dial Davidson, Elexis Paul and Armoni Vessels; two sisters, Barbara Cox (Rudolph) Glover and Gloria Cox Johnson.  He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Sadie Cox and Reverend Frances Cox; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Graveside services are 1 pm Saturday, December 26, 2020, at New Silverbrook Cemetery.  The body is at D. B. Walker Funeral Services and will be on view Friday, December 25, 2020 from 3-7 pm and Saturday from 9 – 11:30 am.

The family is at the home.
