Sherman Lomax, 70, of 18 East Glendale St, Honea Path, SC, passed away Friday morning, July 3, 2020, at his home. Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of J.T. Lomax and Martha Boozer Lomax.

Sherman was a graduate of Geer-Gantt High School,  graduate of Tri-County Technical College and was a member of Springfield Ba[tist Church, Level Land, SC where he served as a Trustee and sung on the Male Chorus and Inspirational Chorus.  Sherman favorite pastime was gardening, fishing and watching old westerns on television.

Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, son, Stefano Lomax, and three siblings, John Robert Lomax, Alexander Lomax, and Rosa Ann Miller

Sherman leaves behind to cherish fond memories his son, Chesiree Lomax, of the home; three sisters, Wilhemenia Lomax, Honea Path, SC, Christine Alexander, Ware Shoals, SC, and Mary Gary, Detroit, MI; one granddaughter Ashley Lomax, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 12 noon Friday in the chapel of D. B. Walker Funeral Services  and viewing will be Thursday from 3-7 pm.  Burial will be in the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home.
