Mrs. Shirley Ann Woody Cobb, 86 years old, of 8 Kennedy Street, Honea Path, SC, wife of Benjamin Cobb, Sr., passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at Iva Post Acute Nursing Home.
Mrs. Cobb was the daughter of the late Adger Lee Woody and Annie Lucille Arnold Woody. She was a member of Faith In Christ Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, David Lee Woody and Kevin Mark Cobb; one great-grandson, DeKory Rice; six sisters, Helen Arnold, Ruth Cobb, Mildred Baker, Barbara Cobb, Betty Woody and Adelle Davis; four brothers, John, Mack Larry, Roy Lee and Roger Lee Woody and son-in-law, Larry Brownlee.
Loved ones who will cherish her memory are her husband, Benjamin Cobb, Sr. of the home; her children, Kim Rice of Anderson, SC, Brenda Brownlee of Honea Path, SC and Benjamin Cobb, Jr. of Donalds, SC ; sister, Lila Mae Woody of Honea Path, SC; thirteen grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Thelma Woody of McCormick, SC and Melissa Cobb of Anderson, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service is 2 pm Sunday at Faith In Christ Baptist Church and body will be place in the church at 1 pm. The body is at D. B. Walker Funeral Services, Anderson, SC and the family will receive friends Saturday from 2 – 4 pm.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Kim Rice, 507 Jackson Circle, Anderson, SC 29625.
