Thomas Daniel Burts. 71, son of the late Thomas and Lessie Martin Burts was born on June 10, 1945 in Donalds, SC and departed this life on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Regency Hospital of Greenville.  Thomas was a graduate of JS Wright High School and a retiree of the US Army after serving twenty-four years of active duty.

Thomas attended Long Branch Baptist Church (LBBC) where he was a very devoted and faithful servant to the LBBC family. He was a part of the Men Bible Study, Boys to Men and Youth Ministry.  He also participated faithfully with the Breakfast at the Branch. He was there to lend a helping hand every time he was asked up until his health failed.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Essie Pearl Mattison and brother, Larry Burts.

Thomas leaves to cherish fond memories, two children, Lashonda Burts, Greenville, SC; and Tommy Burts, Anderson, SC; two brothers Leon and Ralph Burts, Jr; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by a very devoted and special lady, Eunice Johnson, Greenville, SC; a God-daughter, Wanda Wilson, God-sons, Ronnie Ellison, Pastor K.S. Johnson, KaKentae Johnson and Kwanme Johnson; God brother, John Crockett, brother-in-law, Johnny Mattison, former wives, Margaret and Joyce Burts, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
