Willie Mae Reed Martin, 100, widow of Samuel (Sam) Martin, died Thursday, February 28, 2019, after a short illness at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of Jhue and Maggie Thomas Reed.  Her early years were spent in Illinois where she worked as a caterer.  She returned to Anderson, SC in the early 90's and united with Evergreen CME Church where she served faithfully until the church dissolved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five siblings, Lucille Walker, Louise Pringle, Juanita Poole, William (twin brother) and Theodore Reed.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a loving and devoted great-nephew, Jonathan M. Walker, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She will be missed by many.
