Annie Marie Brown Dubose, daughter of the late Deacon Raymond Brown, Sr. and Mamie Webb Brown, was born in Sandy Springs, South Carolina on June 8, 1935. On Saturday morning, October 23, 2021, she was called to her eternal rest.
She attended Anderson County Training School and worked at Mac’s Drive-In in Clemson and Excelsior Finishing Plant in Pendleton until her retirement.
Mrs. Dubose accepted Christ at the age of 26 and joined Silver Spring Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. M. P. Robertson. She served in the following capacities: Church Sunday School, Assistant Teacher for the Primary Class, Vacation Bible School, Missionary Ministry, Counselor for the GA’s, Deaconess Ministry and Ushers Ministry. Also, she attended Union District Three Quarterly Sessions and functions of the Rocky River Baptist Association.
She was predeceased by one son, Gerald Demetrius Brown; husbands, Isaac Woods and Christopher Dubose; two brothers, Claude Brown, Sr. and Charlie Brown; two sisters, Selena Gambrell and Pastor Bernice Peterson; three brothers-in-law, Bishop William Peterson, Raymond Gambrell, Jr., and Deacon Nathaniel Freeman; one sister-in-law, Genelle Brown and one grandson-in-law, Satieon Greenlee.
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Lois (David, Sr.) Milner of Piedmont, SC; Anita Sullivan (Dean) of Pendleton, SC; son, Isaac (Sharon) Woods of Bethlehem, GA: and granddaughter/daughter, Natasha Greenlee (Christian) of Pendleton, SC; two sisters, Eleanora B. Freeman, of Pendleton, SC; Linda B. McCrea of New Haven, CT; three brother, Raymond Brown, Jr., of Atlanta, GA; Sherman Brown of New Haven, CT; and Claude L. Jones of Louisville, KY. Grandchildren: Binta (Terrance) Osbey, Danielle (Tirrell) Scotland, David (Rhonda) Milner, Jr., Anita (Anthony) Broadus, Laquesha, NiIsha (Dominique), Kenesha (Michael), Keeva, Desmond, and Kierra. Great-grandchildren: Alexis (Saaed) Jones, Devin, D’Andre, Shyhiem, Akira, Daquan, Raquan, Maria, D’Javier, Kingston, Mychael, Quintieon, Kuaimaine, Ashleigh, Omari, Kayden, Kayaunna, Cederion, Marcus, Aniya, Lashonda, Jaydan, Jordan, and Jaycieon. Great-great-grandchildren: Reina and Micah.
Memorial Services are 11 am Saturday, November 6, 2021, on the church grounds of Silver Spring Baptist Church in Pendleton, South Carolina.
We encourage you to bring your own chairs if you are not riding in the family cars (limos) because seats will be limited.
