Annie Mary Thomas, 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Victoria Richardson. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of James Collie Richardson and Annie Mae Sloan Richardson.
Annie Mary attended New Deal High School, was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Yoder Brothers.
Annie Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son, Donnie Ray Richardson; grandsons, Kristopher Roebuck and Brendan Jones; Jimmy Ray Thomas (the father of her children), grandparents, Jehue and Mary Viola Robinson Richardson and L. M. and Cora Lee Banks Sloan; deceased brothers, J. D., L. M., Bobby Ray and Rev. James C. Richardson, Jr.; deceased sisters, Gladys Boyd, Dorothy Blanding, Ethel Louise and Clara Richardson; deceased sisters-in-law, Hazel and Ophelia Richardson; deceased brothers-in-law, John Blanding, William Boyd and Milton Webster.
Annie Mary is survived by four sons, Roy Howard Richardson, and Rico Orlando (Patricia) Thomas, both of Anderson, SC; Bernard and Dave Rodriquez Thomas, both of Atlanta, GA; four daughters, Victoria Richardson, Tamara Vonetta, and Mary Claudette Thomas, all of Anderson, SC and Tracy Louise (Felicia Oliver) Thomas of Simpsonville, SC; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Willie and Johnny William Richardson, both of Anderson, SC; Lester Eugene Richardson, Elberton, GA; sisters, Cora Frances Webster of Alexandria, VA and Ruby Nell Richardson of Anderson, SC; stepson, Cornell Brown of Clemson, SC and bonus-son, Eugene Morris of Columbia, SC; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Richardson of Greenville, NC and Marie Richardson of Gastonia, NC; she is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services are 3 pm Saturday at King David Baptist Church with burial in Anderson Memorial Gardens. Public viewing is 4 - 8 pm Friday at D. B. Walker Funeral Services and the body will be placed in the church Saturday at 2 pm.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Victoria, 315 I Street, Anderson, SC.
