Catherine Webb Wansley,

Anderson, SC - Catherine Wansley, 78, widow of Joe Wansley, of 211 Dickens Avenue, died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Ellenberg Nursing Center.  Born in Starr, SC, she was the daughter of James Leroy Webb and Annie Mae Gamble Webb. She retired from Southwood Middle School where she had worked in the cafeteria for over forty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wansley; son, Billy Wansley, her parents.and two sisters, Betty Ruth Webb and Johnnie Mae Webb.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her son Joe B. Wansley (Carla), of Anderson, SC;  four brothers, Lawrence, James, Johnny J. and Joe Henry Webb and two sisters, Juanita Suber and Bobbie Jean Webb.

Funeral services are 3 pm Saturday in the Marvin Mattison Memorial Chapel with burial in New Silverbrook Cemetery. Mrs. Wansley will be on view Friday from 12 noon until 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am until hour of service

The family is at the home of her son, Joe Wansley. 1411 Hunters Trail, Anderson. SC .
