Donald Edwards, Jr.

Donald Edwards, Jr., 52, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2024, at his home. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Brenda Teasley and Donald Edwards, Sr.

Donald was a 1991 graduate of Westside High School and he was a flagman with the SC Highway Department before his illness.  He is a member of the House of Refuge Church, Anderson, SC.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Thelma Edwards Rice and Johnny Rice; and maternal grandparents, Louvell and Janie R. Watson Teasley. 

Donald leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Marietta Nicole Lomax Edwards, Belton, SC; two sons, Tanaze Richey and Tarik Edwards; four daughters, Whitney Henricksen, Xavier (Jerome) Hunter, Tosha Richey and Stephanie Richey; brother, Ronald Pedro Edwards; sister, Thelma Edwards Adegbola; two uncles, James (Tammy) Teasley and Walter Edwards; two aunts, Freda Mae Teasley McKnight and Alberta (Roger) Brownlee; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

The funeral service is 2 pm, Monday, January 6, 2025, in the Marvin Mattison Memorial Chapel, D. B. Walker Funeral Services and public viewing is 3-7 pm Sunday.

The family is at the home of his aunt, Freda Mae Teasley, 120 Blount Road, Belton, SC and Laura Butler, 102 Q Street, Anderson, SC.
