Ernest Perry

Ernest Perry, 76, of Beach Park, Illinois, formerly of Chicago's Austin neighborhood, born and raised in Evanston, made his transition into eternal life on November 23, 2023.  Beloved husband of the late Alice Carol (2017).  Doting father of Mary (Darrell) Johnson, Jaisy Geans and the late Alison Perry.  Loving brother of Diane Perry, Donna (Keith) Johnson, the late Deborah Perry-Griffin, the late Stephen Perry, Gayvelle Redmond, Lorraine Williamson, Wilna Geans, Wilbur Redmond and the late Robert Redmond. Adored uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many.  Ernest was a Vietnam veteran who honorably served from 1969-1972.  Longtime congregation member of Robinson AME Church and visiting member of Progressive Life Giving Word Cathedral.  Ernest will be remembered for his amazing talent as professional actor in theater, television and film.

Memorial service will be held in Illinois at a later date.
