Frances Sherard

Frances Melissa Sherard, 67, of 205 Clarke Stream Drive, Anderson, SC, passed away in her home on October 24, 2022. She was born in Honea Path, SC to Bennie and Lydia Williams Robinson on September 14, 1955.

Frances joined the Liberty Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her death.  She served as Music Director of the Liberty Jubilee Choir, lead singer of the Robinson Family Singers, former President of the Liberty Baptist Church YWA’s, Vice President of the Little River Missionary YWA’s and a member of Martin King Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Sherard, parents, Bennie and Lydia Robinson and five brothers-in-law.

Frances was married to Bernard Sherard and they were the proud parents of three children, Markeya “Tez”, Shawna and Kwanna.  She leaves to cherish fond memories, one son, Markeya “Tez” Sherard, of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Shawna Sherard, of Pendleton, SC and Kwanna Sherard, of the home; one granddaughter, Asia Williams; three grandsons, Kavez Sherard, Jackson Sherard and Jayceon Sherard; one great-grandson, Kaiceon Sherard; five sisters, Joyce Burts, Wanda Rainey, Mary (Jeffery Crosby), Minister Tracy (Tyrone) Jones, all of Anderson, SC; and Jacqueline Hatten of Starr, SC; three brothers, Bennie Robinson, Jr. and Marshall Robinson, both of Anderson, SC and Allen (Judy) Robinson, Honea Path, SC; one beloved aunt, Margaret Holmes, Baltimore MD; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Sunday, October 30th at Liberty Baptist Church in Honea Path, SC. Public Viewing will be 3 -7 pm Saturday, October 29th at D.B. Walker Funeral Services in Anderson, SC.
