Johnny Mack White

Johnny Mack White, 55, transitioned from this earthly life on August 27, 2022 at Prisma Health in Greenville, SC.  He was the son of the late Leslie H. White and JoAnn White.

Johnny was a father and grandfather.

At an early age, Johnny joined Cedar Grove Baptist Church and after relocating to Greenville he joined Rock of Ages Baptist Church where he was ordained as a Deacon under the leadership of Pastor Terry King.  He also served as an usher and was active with the homeless Ministry.  Johnny graduated from T. L. Hanna High School and continued his education at St. Augustine College.

Johnny was a jack of many trades – he worked as a carpenter, housekeeping and in textiles.  He was presently employed by MP Husky of Greenville.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jacqueline Miller, grandparents, John and Mamie White, aunts, Francine White and Rochelle Rice; uncles, John E. White and Broadus White.

Johnny leaves behind to mourn his passing, his wife, Lillie Burns of Greenville, SC; his stepmother, Olivia Miller White, two daughters, Victoria (Ronreco) Long and I’Janell Baldwin and three grandchildren; six sisters, Deborah Chamblee, Mary (Darryl) Clinkscales, Janice Miller, Margaret Miller, Leslie White and Courtney Miller; three brothers, Paul Miller, Danny Miller and Stanco Brawner; three aunts, Brenda White, Inna Weeks and a special aunt, Pearl Burris; a special companion, Jacqueline Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service is 2 pm Monday in the Marvin Mattison Memorial Chapel, D. B. Walker Funeral Services with the Rev. Terry King, Pastor of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, officiating. Viewing is Monday from 10 am until the hour of service.
