K.C. Berry

STARR, SC - K.C. Berry, 82, of 120 K.C. Berry Road died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Hospice of the Upstate. 

Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Cassie Berry and Janie Mae Thomas Berry. He was a 1955 graduate of Westside High School and was Self-employed as a Carpet Installer. He also was a longtime member and Trustee at Generostee Baptist Church where he also sang on the Male Chorus.

K.C Berry was preceded in death by his parents, son Kelvin Clark; brother, Leodis Berry; and sister, Janie Lou Watt.

He leaves behind to cherish fond memories, his loving wife of 64 years, Bessie Lee Berry of the home; two sons, Thomas Berry and Randall (Felicia) Berry of Starr, SC; two daughters, Jannie Berry, of the home and Gloria Berry of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Quincy Berry of Atlanta, GA, Louis (Magnolia) Berry and Thomas Alvin (Rosemary) Berry, both of Starr, SC; five sisters, Fannie Lou Stephenson of Philadelphia, PA., Nellie (Noah) Bryant of Homerville, GA, Julia Berry of Atlanta, GA, Betty Ruth Carson and Catherine Robinson, both of Starr, SC; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Services will be held at Generostee Baptist Church on Friday, July 12, 2019, at 1 pm and the body will be placed in the church at 12 noon.
