Keyona Jermaine Tate

Keyona Jermaine Tate, 35, passed away Wednesday May 31, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.  Keyona, was born to James and Theresa Joy Tate in  Anderson, SC on February 12, 1982.

​Keyona loved life, driving many cars with loud music (rap) playing.  He loved to look and dress nice, from top to bottom and he loved spending time with his cousins.  Keyona graduated from Hanna High School in 2000 and went into the US Navy directly after high school. After the Navy, he worked at Belton Corp until 2014 when he became ill.  Keyona has a college degree in Computer Science and also attended at Tri-County Technical College.  He enjoyed writing poetry and appeared in poetry shows.

​He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha Joy, maternal grandfather, Neal Rustin and an aunt, Louise Gay.

He leaves to cherish fond memories a son, Kedarious Tate, Greenville, SC, parents, Theresa Joy Tate and James Tate, both of Anderson, SC; half-brother, Nyterious Tate, Anderson, SC; paternal grandparents, Larkin and Bernice Tate, Anderson, SC and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The family is at the home of his mother, 107 Baum Lane, Anderson, SC.
