Lilla Mae Woody

Lilla Mae Woody, 79, of 101 Franklin Street, Apt. 1-82, Honea Path, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Adger and Lucille Arnold Woody. Ms. Lilla Woody was a member of Faith in Christ Church.

Ms. Lilla was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to many – two daughters,  Linda and Janice Cobb, both of Honea Path, SC; two grandsons,  grandchildren, Tyler Cobb and Messiah Woody; four granddaughters, JaNetha Cobb, Zamyah Earle, Nadia Earle, and Corretta Woody; five great-granddaughters, SaNyah El-Amin, Shatoi El-Amin, Shaela Jackson, Makayah Woody, and Harmony Woody; four great-grandsons, D. J. Edens, Hendrixx Barksdale, My-Kieth Woody, and Eric Woody; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.

Ms. Lilla was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and she was preceded in death by a nephew, James Woody (raised in the home as a son);  seven sisters, Helen Arnold, Ruth Cobb, Mildred Baker, Barbara Cobb, Adelle Davis, Betty Sue Woody and Shirley Ann Cobb; four brothers, John, Mack Larry, Roy L. and Roger L. Woody.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Sunday, at Faith In Christ Church, with the body being placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.  Public viewing is Saturday, from 3 - 7 p.m. in the Ollie Stewart Memorial Chapel, D. B. Walker Funeral Services, Honea Path, SC.
