Mary Catherine "Cat" Richardson

Mary "Cat" Richardson, 85, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023.  Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of Frank and Ethel Porter Freeman and a member of Mountain Spring Baptist Church.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Richardson, two children, Charles "Pete" Richardson and Mary Williams; one grandson, Michael "Foodie" Williams, and five brothers, Nathaniel, R.B., Willie, Joeseph Sr., Lewis Freeman Sr., and two sisters, Henrietta Reese and Eva Mae Freeman Walker.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, K. Gail Richardson-Wiley, two granddaughters, Kelis (Joseph) Wiley-Vogel and Toni Willingham; one grandson, Carlos Hernandez; four great-grandchildren, Josiah, Keva, Andre'a and Santeka; one great-great-grandson, Aidan: four siblings, Frances Fowler, Gussie Pinson, John and Charles Freeman; one nephew/son, Tyrone Freeman; other relatives and many friends,

Funeral services are 1 pm Saturday at Mountain Spring Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing is Friday from 3 - 7 pm at D. B. Walker Funeral Services and the body will be placed in the church Saturday at 12 noon.

The family is at their respective homes.
