Qunnita "Ne Ne" Shawna Geer

Qunnita Shawna Geer, 42, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at NHC Healthcare, Anderson, SC.

Qunnita was born in Anderson, and she was the daughter of Clara Geer and Ricky Smith.   She was a 2001 graduate of T. L. Hanna High School and was a CNA until her health declined.

Qunnita was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Roberta Geer Ellison, two daughters, Qunnasia Geer & Zimija Moore; her maternal grandparents, Nancy Geer & Otis Cowans; and paternal grandparents, Zelmon & Eurean Smith.

Qunnita leaves to cherish loving memories her daughter, Zuri Moore, of Anderson, SC; father, Ricky (Angie) Smith, Elberton, GA; brother, Tony Geer (Crystal Webb), of Anderson, SC; two devoted nieces, Sia Geer (raised in the home) and Kady Geer; one great niece, Brie Geer; step-father, Arthur Ellison, all of Anderson, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13th, in the Marvin R. Mattison Memorial Chapel at D. B. Walker Funeral Services.  Public viewing is Saturday from 10 am until the hour of the service. The family will be receiving friends from 1 pm until the hour of the service on Saturday.

The family is at the home of her aunt, Ms. Teresa Geer, 803 W. Franklin Street, Anderson, SC.
