Snellville, GA - Ricky R. Walker, 45, husband of Caleeta Walker, died Monday, May 7, 2018, at Emory University Hospital. He is the son of Luther J. and Lucy Ann Walker. He was a 1991 graduate of McDuffie High School where he excelled in football and baseball.  After graduation he joined the US Navy and it provided him with the opportunity to travel around the world and meet many people.  In the Navy he was a Chef and supply clerk and served until his health begin to fail.  He was a big sports fan and loved the Clemson Tigers and the San Francisco 49ers.  He adored his dog “Christian” and kept him in Clemson attire.

He leaves behind to cherish fond memories, his wife, Caleeta Walker, children, Nihja and Maya Walker of Atlanta,GA; his mother and father, Mr. & Mrs. Luther (Lucy Ann) Walker of Anderson,SC: and four siblings, Sheryl Walker of Anderson, SC; Monica Walker of Atlanta,GA; Frances Groves Gibson of Seneca, SC and Melvin Groves of Iva, SC

Funeral services are 2 pm Friday, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church; burial 10 am Monday at MJ “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-8 pm at DB Walker Funeral Home and the body will be placed in the church Friday at 1 pm.

The family is at the home of his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Luther (Lucy Ann) Walker, 311 St. Paul Street, Anderson, SC.
