Ruby Nell (Chamblee) Johnson

Ruby Nell Johnson, 92, of 111 Tropical Way, Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024.  Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Chamblee and Willie Mae Pickens Chamblee.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Van Johnson, parents, nine brothers, Lonnie, John Paul, Floyd Stewart, Ulysees, Warren Jr., R.L., T.C. and A. C. (twins) and Rufus Chamblee; four sisters, Johnnie Mae Fair, Annie Ruth Clinkscales, Betty Jo Campbell and Bessie Mae Chamblee.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, four daughters, Patricia Diane Taylor, Simpsonville, SC; Sheron Lynn Pickens (Rufus), Vanessa Ann Wilson and Gloria Lorraine Simmons (Robert), all of Anderson, SC; two sons, Rickey Chamblee and James Gregory Johnson, both of Anderson, SC; one brother, Elder Bobby Chamblee, Anderson, SC; sister, Rebecca Richardson, Anderson, SC; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Zion Church of God Holiness in Anderson, SC. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024 from 2-6pm at D.B. Walker Funeral Services in Anderson, SC.
