Gloria, I just saw in the Funeral Director/Embalmer magazine that you Dad passed away. I just wanted to sent my condolences. I am so sorry for the loss of your Day. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that the memories you shared will give you comfort during this sad time.

Rev. Walker and my dad, the late Luther Johnson, Jr., were best friends. Seldom did a day pass and they were on the phone with each other for hours discussing funeral business and their days at Benedict College. Today represents a chapter completed, a page turned; a life well lived, and a rest well earned.

I am so sorry to hear about Rev. Walker's passing. In my book Rev. Walker was the "ROCK" that couldn't be moved. He was such a strong man, good man and so speak, he was my buddy, and my 7th grade home room teacher at New Deal School. I always called him on his birthday, and he always knew who I was. When I talked to him on his 100th birthday, he wasn't doing real good, but, he was well. I'm sure he is going to be missed dearly by everyone. Gloria, hang in there. God has him now for sure and for keeps. You don't have to worry about him anymore. God Bless You and the rest of the family.

Dear Walker family, the loss of someone so close is difficult to bear. Your grief is shared. I remember so vividly when Rev Walker was my school teacher. I am terribly sorry to hear of his passing.
